The 2024 Tribal Opioid Response Grant program is administered through SAMHSA to address the overdose crisis, harm reduction, treatment, and prevention in Tribal communities. “This funding is aligned with the HHS Overdose Prevention Strategy,” said HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra in this Press Release, “and [it] allows states and Tribes to build critical infrastructure and increase capacity in ways that fit their unique needs. The Administration is committed to bolstering the implementation of evidence-based practices that save lives.” The Biden-Harris Administration also announced up to $1.48 billion for the State Opioid Response Grant program.
